GENERAL INFORMATION
Before the journey begins we will have a first meet-up to get to know each other via Skype. You will also receive all the information via email in the Surf & French Manual. All questions will be answered and the French level of the participants briefly checked! ?
When we are surfing, we have to adapt to the tides, this means: depending on the sea level, the surf course or the French course will be in the morning – the other one will be in the afternoon. The (optional) yoga classes will also be adapted to the tides! ?
PROGRAM
- DAY 1 – ARRIVAL in CAPBRETONOn the first evening the whole group meets at the « Surf & French House ». The house is located directly in Capbreton, a picturesque seaside resort directly on the Atlantic coast. During summertime the place is very popular with surfers! ?
At a first welcome drink and dinner together we will get to know each other and discuss the upcoming week.
All questions will be answered and then we are ready to get into a relaxed surfer mood ? ?

DAY 2 – FIRST SURF- & FRENCHDAYIn the morning, a person which will be selected the evening before, together with a trainer will get croissants chauds & baguettes fraîches from the Boulangerie. The first challenge will be to order completely in French!?
As a group of max. 8 people we will surf together with either Clément or Julie. They’ll show us the basics and get us safely into the first waves! Attention, les cahiers de vocabulaire stay at home, so you better be vocabulary-safe! 😉 But no worries, a French trainer will always be close to help you!
In the French course we will learn the basics of surf & beach vocabulary(either in the future or in the past). All your questions will be answered – en français bien sûr!
At the end of the day, everyone who has booked the package will have the opportunity to do an hour of yoga with Sidney. She will always let us know one day in advance if she will come to our house or if we should meet her at the beach.
After the French and surf course everyone can enjoy their temps libre – either on the beach, in the village or in the garden of the surf villa!
DAY 3 – SECOND SURF- & FRENCHDAYWe will speak French on the beach, in local shops or in the restaurant and work on improving our surf technique.
We will enjoy the rest of the day with a yoga class and relax with cocktails by the beach!
In the evening you can reward your sore muscles with a cold beer in one of the best locations and party like a surf champ!

DAY 4 – RELAX IF YOU CANYou have a day off to enjoy shopping in the city or the nearby outlet, check out stand-up paddeling at the calm Hossegor lake or just get an icecream and watch the waves roll by!
DAY 5 – THIRD SURF- & FRENCHDAYWe will speak French on the beach, in local shops or in the restaurant and work on improving our surf technique.
We will enjoy the rest of the day with a yoga class and relax with cocktails by the beach!

DAY 6 – FOURTH SURF- & FRENCHDAYWe will speak French on the beach, in local shops or in the restaurant and work on improving our surf technique.
We will enjoy the rest of the day with a yoga class and relax with cocktails by the beach!

DAY 7 – SURF- & FRENCH CLOSINGToday is the big day!
At the end of the week your surf level will be tested and you will receive a small certificate!
Your French will also be tested – but don’t worry, we will keep it simple and there are no losers!
Afterwards we will celebrate the passed adventures and enjoy one last time the French lifestyle – with Apéritif, BBQ and music!

The Surf & French House must be checked-out at 10:00 am.

The supervised surf beach of Capbreton is a very well-kept, popular surf beach – and still an insider tip with tourists.
THE HOUSE
The modern ” Surf & French House ” offers space for 8 people and includes a quiet garden terrace, kitchen and adorably furnished rooms.

The journey can be arranged individually – and for example be combined with a short stay in Bordeaux or Paris!
